Pretty sure they do. Set your windows command prompt font to Lucidia Console. As for Linux, impulze implemented unicode support that last i was aware, worked.

Confirmed, seem to happen to all non-english chars. I tested writnig áâàäñÑçÇ and some chars nor even have been writed to console (ç and à):

Lucida console writes another chars, so it doesn't fix the problem:
