Summary0006788: [Request] Option align gun muzzle and cross-hair
Description

In GTA SA the gun muzzle and cross-hair are not aligned which allows a player to kill opponents with only exposing their elbow when their cover is on the left.

Although this is acceptable in a single player game, I dislike this feature very much in a multiplayer game where you stand little chance of killing your opponent when they're exposing their elbow and somehow their gun is killing you.

So I request an option for servers to be able to correctly align the gun muzzle with the cross-hair so players must expose more of their body and the gun muzzle to their opponents.

Notice how only my elbow is visible to anybody who'd be coming up the pavement:

Really the players right side of their body should be exposed so you could actually see the opponent if the cross-hair wasn't totally off.

Ohh and the gun doesn't even point at the crosshair:

And if you're wondering why my ped is grey, that happens when changing skin from alien CJ sometimes.

While this is not complete solution, check out this script: http://fullserver.eu/pio/tmp/6788.zip
It calculates cross-hair position and disallows firing (toggleControl("fire", false)) in situations that you've described.

If it would be possible to create projectiles for every weapon type, then maybe it could be used to completely redefine shooting physics, as currently I don't see any way to change shooting target position.

We already use something similar on the server where it cancels the damage. I remember we tried disabling firing before that but I remember their been a problem with that method (or at least how we did it) probably because it interferes with other scripts that disable firing.

This half fixes it but it still really sucks.

Solution:
Sync the shots yourself.
Result:
Players started flaming.
Dunno if its a good idea or not. It already is scriptable, if you do your own syncro, of course (I already implemented it, but its permanently deactivated since players started to flame about it, it also weird-ups the playability).

oh come on, this is fair, its skill, its all about using your ability to fight safe, if ur getting killed from that elbow its your own fault from even going near them.

You don't see to know what "fair" and "skill" means so let me get a definition from google for you:

Skill: "The ability to do something well; expertise."

If you need to exploit bugs in GTA SA you don't "do something well" because you're cheating.

Fair: "Without cheating or trying to achieve unjust advantage: "he played fair"."

If there is a corridor and both players cover is on the same side that means that one player can choose to kill with only exposing their elbow and the other player must expose the whole of their body.

So no, it is not fair and it is not skill.

I know a lot of players like to exploit this which is why the issue is a request for an OPTION by each server that way servers ran by honest players can have this and you, you can keep your unfair style of play.

lol, Chris. I need the head, not the elbow to hit.
